Responsibilities of the Sales Manager include: meeting company sales goals while maintaining responsibility for account forecasts and account planning, directing, developing, and implementing strategies to grow company revenue, conferring with management to determine sales objectives, developing policies to achieve organizational goals; and developing, coordinating, and executing sales objectives and strategies to gain market share. This position will be responsible for building and managing our Independent Sales Representative Network and identifying opportunities to generate demand for our products. The Sales Manager must be able to synthesize customer requirements and feed them back to company scientists and engineers.
Successful candidates have a track record demonstrating proven success of solution selling in the microwave or photonics market segment. In addition, the candidate must have an in-depth knowledge in at least one of the following technical areas; RF technology, microwave/photonic test instrumentation, and communication networks and technology. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. The ability to provide market analysis and prepare commercialization strategies based on research and development is desired but not required. Strong candidates have a BS or a MS in Physics or Electrical/Electro-Optics Engineering, and three or more years of experience working with customers in a sales capacity.
